Contrary to what Yelp is showing, Poke Luau is not closed. I just visited today for lunch. The place is very clean and modern. Decor is simple and muted white. As many have commented, scoops of protein are generous, and fresh. With that said, their cost is on the higher side when compared to other Poke establishments. They offer many free toppings to choose from, with avocado and an extra scoop of crab meat costing additional. I always ask for 2 sauces for the topping, and they've never charged me extra for it. Also notable, I'm pretty sure their soda machine is perpetually out of order. You can purchase canned sodas from them, but no fountain drinks. As far as service, be prepared to wait if there's a line. It looks like there's often only one person working. With that said, she was very friendly and gets through the line fairly quickly. Overall, a good choice if you're craving poke and don't mind paying a little extra for what you get.

My first time try this place and actually this type of food even the salmon and tuna were raw I thought eww I'm not gonna eat it but I try it and it was amazing i feel like eating this everyday

My favorite lunch place here in Oxnard. The portion is very generous and the ingredients are always super fresh. I normally get the regular size bowl and it's enough for 2 meals. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Glad to have a place like this nearby.

OMG!!! When you order just three scoops of protein it goes a long way! You don't even have to get the large which is 5 scoops of protein. I love how fresh everything is! I ordered my dish to go and I ordered it online. When it was picked up they made it with LOVE!

Probably my favorite place to get Poke in Oxnard :) It's very clean inside and they are so generous with the portions! One of the few Poke places that actually gives you a good amount in your bowl. I really like that they have plenty of options to choose from also. They are located in a small plaza next to a salon and Subway, and the service is always so nice and quick!

Yay! Good Poke in Oxnard for the win. It's so convenient having this poke spot within a short driving distance from work. Service: friendly, quick, and efficient. They get you in and out which is perfect when on a tight lunch schedule. Portion sizes are good and they don't put too much or too little of any particular thing. The restaurant is always clean and spacious for those who like to dine in. Also plenty of parking even during lunch. My favorite here is their salmon, tuna, and spicy crab. I also find that they have more toppings then my favorite poke spot in Ventura so it's a plus if you like variety. The fish is fresh & everything always tastes delicious. Poke is becoming more available but if your in the area id definitely recommend poke luau.

I was driving back from spending the day in Ojai and while looking for a gas station and Starbucks I stumbled upon Poke Luau, thank you Google lol It's a cute little spot serving up fresh poke with all the players in Oxnard... It's assembly line Poke think Subway / Blaze Pizza where you pick your components and build it as you peruse the goodies. This works great for all you foodie aficionados and controlling peeps who think that they know better so have at it and make Poke Luau your little Poke slave... The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate even for those void of common sense or an IQ hovering around room temperature. Put on your chef's hat and build your little Poke arse off because at Poke Luau it's truly have it your way. The fish is fresh with all the players Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Scallops, Mahi and even a vegan fish alternative Tofishy I think... A wealth of add on's await your bowl's and about (15) sauce options. Everything can be made spicy and finished as you desire. Prices are in the $9-$12 range based upon bowl size and if you add and additional premium topping otherwise everything is included at Poke Luau. The Poke fish portion is a little on the smaller side but all in all the bowls are indeed very good, fresh and scratch made with good ingredients which all work in my book. The space is clean and inviting but mostly a grab and go as there are a few tables inside and out. Poke Luau is in a small strip mall in Oxnard but the food is fresh, good and reasonable. Service is nice and friendly albeit young. When in Oxnard and you feel a controlling urge dress up in your favorite leather, vinyl or rubber outfit and hit up Poke Luau to live out your decedent Poke fantasies as Poke dreams come true in Oxnard at Poke Luau :-)

BEST POKE IN THE VENTURA COUNTY. I REPEAT: BEST POKE IN THE VENTURA COUNTY. I have eaten in over a dozen different places in the area since I started working in Ventura 3 years ago. Firstly this place is VERY clean. When you're eating raw fish, you're going to want the place to be as clean as possible. So, I got my order: their portions are generous and they have an option of Fried Shrimp! Dude, that makes a huge different. Their sauces are full of flavor, their ingredients are fresh and they even have eel sauce. I understand that poke bowls aren't intended to taste like a deconstructed sushi roll but thats exactly what my meal tasted like today. With the addition of fried shrimp, eel sauce, and spicy mayo, this place cant be beat. Also, they have a 50% deal off Groupon right now. Seriously, you need to try it! Its not in the best part of town but the plaza is clean, plenty of parking, and the staff is really nice. If you're looking to satisfy a poke craving or a sushi craving, this is the place to go.
